1. Publishing Ethics

Geosciences Review (GeoRev) adheres to the highest ethical standards in academic publishing. All parties involved—editors, authors, and reviewers—must uphold integrity and professionalism.

1.1 Responsibilities of Authors

Submit original, unpublished work Properly cite all sources and avoid plagiarism.

Disclose any conflicts of interest.

Ensure all co-authors have agreed to the submission.

Cooperate with the editorial team during review and revision.

 

1.2 Responsibilities of Editors

Make impartial decisions based on scholarly merit.

Ensure a fair, transparent peer-review process.

Maintain confidentiality throughout the review process.

Address ethical complaints promptly and thoroughly.

 

1.3 Responsibilities of Reviewers

Provide constructive, objective feedback.

Maintain confidentiality.

Declare any conflict of interest.

Avoid using unpublished content for personal advantage.

 

1.4 Plagiarism Policy

GeoRev uses plagiarism detection software. Any manuscript with significant similarity (above 20% excluding references) will be rejected.

 

2. Scope of the Journal

Geosciences Review (GeoRev) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in all branches of Earth Sciences, including but not limited to:

3. Author Guidelines

3.1 Submission

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.georev.org or via email: georev.editor@buk.edu.ng

Acceptable file format: Microsoft Word (.docx)

3.2 Formatting

Manuscripts must be written in clear English.

Follow the journal template provided.

Figures and tables must be high-resolution and embedded in the manuscript.

Use SI units throughout.

Formatting and Style

Manuscript is typed in English, 12-point Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing.

Pages are numbered consecutively.

 Tables and figures are embedded in the text and labeled appropriately.

Units are in SI format.

All references cited in the text are included in the reference list and vice versa.

Supporting Materials

Figures are high resolution (minimum 300 dpi) and embedded in the manuscript.

Supplementary files (if any) are labeled and referenced correctly.

Plagiarism/similarity check report (optional but recommended).
